The Windsor house, located in West Palm Beach was the first of many homes envisioned by this organization. Recognizing similarity in the consistent calls from servicemen for a simple roof over their head, we felt an urgency to investigate the percentage of homeless veterans vs local housing.
Our suspicions were confirmed by research from the census for homeless veterans, the National Alliance to End Homeless Veterans as well as other local resources, that the need for affordable housing could not be met without additional support.
The Windsor house provided the simple solution. Create self sufficient environments that would utilize the skills and common resources each resident could offer. By relying on team effort and establishing a unity we are able to provide purpose and help to regain self worth to the veterans that live there.
Today Windsor Estate is enabling the way, to a place called home for our local service men and women. We are proud of our residing veterans for their strength and courage to continue to fight the battle of homelessness in Palm Beach County. They are succeeding one by one.
